Great River Energy and Xcel Energy   Assessment Exams and Preparation

Xcel Energy and Great River Energy has partnered with HVACRedu.net to develop an online heating, ventilation and air conditioning quality installation assessment for its Central AC and/or Air Source Heat Pump Rebate Program.

The program focuses on proper HVAC system installation practices, which promote comfort and system efficiency. Xcel Energy and Great River Energy MUST validate contractor understanding of the four main components of residential HVAC installation that affect comfort and energy consumption: proper equipment sizing, airflow, refrigerant charge and duct sealing. All contractors that register for the Central AC and Air Source Heat Pump Rebate programs must pass (at 75 percent or higher) an online assessment in order to qualify as an installation contractor for residential customers who participate in the rebate programs.

All contractors who would like to participate in Central AC and Air Source Heat Pump Rebate programs must pass an assessment demonstrating their knowledge of quality installation practices. Xcel Energy and Great River has agreed to pay for ONE attempt for Quality Installation Assessment for each contractor. You will need to go through the online registration process to obtain a link to the assessment, as well as a user name and password. HVACRedu.net, will be administering the assessment process.

Our Certification Review Course is an excellent source of preparation prior to attempting the assessment exams.

Xcel Energy and Great River Energy have agreed to pay for ONE attempt per technician for Quality Installation Assessment for each contractor.
